Leave a Trail

Leave a record for your children, grandchildren and your future generations. Your ancestors, relatives and friends wonder who you are and will wonder after you are gone. Leave a trail.

  • Keep a journal or tape record your favorite stories of your youth. (Even the true ones.)
  • Start and keep a blog about your happenings.
  • Gather your photos and organize them in scrapbooks.
  • List the people in the photos and date them, while your memory holds out.

Celebrate You!

Be genuine. I'm thinking of somebody who is so cool. She wears all the right clothes, drives the right car, lives in the right neighborhood, has the perfect live and all the charisma in the world to boot. Who am I thinking of?

Answer: It really doesn't matter. We all know somebody who seemingly has a life nicer than our own. They seem to exude something we don't have and they know things we don't know. Wherever they are, the grass is greener over there.

Guess what? Somebody right now is looking over at where you are standing and thinking the grass is greener where you are. So how about just reveling in who you are. Be authentic, be genuine and celebrate all that you have and are. It's really all about the attitude.

Foot Upgrade

Polish your shoes. - You don't necessarily need new shoes, but a good polish can go a long way. Lots of shoe companies sell inexpensive shoes that can look dazzling with regular polishing. Get in the habit of checking your shoes before bedtime and if they need a brush up - use a do-it-yourself shoe polisher - it will only take a minute or two and the next day, your shoes will look brand spankin' new. Besides that, it will upgrade your look.
